Mike Zezula, PE unexpectedly passed away on July 14th, 2020. This sudden loss has shocked us all, especially those close to him and those that worked with him on the daily basis. Mike Zezula (Mikey) was a senior professional engineer and served as President in the company from the start in 2015. Prior to becoming one of the founding members of our firm, Mikey worked as a senior design engineer with structural engineering firms & contractors managing numerous projects from concept to construction and mentored numerous young engineers that came through his office. Even earlier than that, Mikey worked in the concrete construction industry managing many concrete placement projects and working closely with many of the people he has as friends today. Mikey was very well-known throughout the San Antonio and south Texas area as a go-to person for getting easy to build designs done, trouble-shooting issues, and putting the right people together for the job. Mikey will be dearly missed by all of those that he has worked with over the years but we at Axis Structural hope to continue to work with those that knew Mikey and carry on the legacy he worked so hard to establish.
